More pics

The kids came to meet their new baby brother tonight and both the girls cried when they left. So sad...

I am thankful for...

This year I am thankful for....
1.        For my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in my life and thankful that he is always there for  my family and I.
2.       My wonderful husband who has worked hard to provide for our family.  Who is always there when we need him.  Who comes home after a long day of work and has enough energy left to play with the kids...when my energy level is drained.
3.       My kids who mean everything to me.
4.       My parents who try to help out when they can even though they are busy.
5.       Sean's family who has opened there homes and hearts to us.
6.       Our church family who provides encouragement for our family.
7.       Friends who like to go out and do things during the day despite having 3 (and soon 4) kids in tow.
8.       Friends who provide encouragement as we go through the mommy, child raising journey together.
9.       Being able to teach my children about Christ.
10.   Having a roof over our heads, clothing, and a way to feed our family.
11.   Facebook..ok I know you are thinking...seriously...but on some days it makes me feel a part of things, especially if the kids are in quarantine for 3 weeks or I am having a rough day, I know there are friends and family on Facebook that are maybe going through the same thing....plus I have actually gotten to know some friends better from Facebook.
12.   People who don't balk about driving 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour or more to come hang out.  We have appreciated the company of those who have come out to visit.  Always seems like we are on the road and it is nice to stay put sometimes.
13.   That I am able and willing to stay at home with our kiddos.  The days are long and often times exhausting and overwhelming, but we have decided that it the best choice for us to maintain peace and calm for our family.
14.   That the state of Nebraska allows families to homeschool their own kids without very many restrictions.  I am thankful that we are able to choose this option at this time.
15.   For this blog...I really didn't know if I would keep at it with updates, but it is a way to maybe bring unsaved family members and friends to learn about the Lord Jesus Christ through various posts...before it is too late...was just reminded at Bible study the other night that Lord will come some day...like a thief in the night...where will you be going?
16.   Patience…from my husband, parents, and kids…while we wait for this baby to decide that it would like to come.

Still patiently waiting...

Today is my official due date. I have gotten many calls and e-mails to see how I am doing..thanks..not doing much of anything...that is usually how it goes for me. Starting to think we just should have stayed at home to wait. I didn't bring the kids' coats and the weather has turned quiet a bit since we have been to Omaha. I keep thinking it would be easier just going back home to wait, but the weather is a bit sketchy this week and there is state high school playoffs for football in Lincoln during the next few days which could also jam up the interstate.
It is interesting hearing everyone's opinions on how I can get the show on the road...thanks...it is interesting hearing some other opinions on how our due date isn't correct...thanks...I just know when this little guy feels that he is ready to join the world...he will let me know.
My husband has been patient...thank you honey...I know it is hard not living in your own home and being around your own things. I know it was hard for him missing deer rifle season this past week as he didn't have anywhere to hunt locally and it was too far for him to go down to southern Missouri. His employees have been kind of driving him nuts every time he walks in in the morning. Thank goodness there will be break soon for Thanksgiving!
Don't worry I will put something on Facebook when things get going and I will attempt to put pictures on our blog.:)

Patiently waiting...

So we are patiently waiting at my parent's house in Omaha for this baby boy to make his grand arrival. It is ok here, but it just isn't our home. The kids are a bit more rambunctious and our schedule is a little bit different since the girls wake up extremely early because of the morning noise of grandma getting ready for work and the dogs fighting and barking. School has been hard and Jocelyn has magically forgotten how to read. Frustrating. Our Dr. suggested that we are closer to the hospital this time around due to the position of the baby. I went to see him today and nothing is really progressing. I know some people have been critical of me going so often to the dr...every week now..but I am just the type of person that wants to be in the know. Part of me just wants to go back and wait at home, because I know this is hard on Sean being away from home as well, but I just want to be safe than sorry. Plus the weather scares me a bit and traveling on the interstate...constant accidents and closures. So we pray that this baby will come soon so we can move on...please pray for an uneventful delivery...and an easy one..I definitely don't want to have a post delivery like Eastons. My official due date is on Sunday....I know that means absolutely nothing...

What does not belong in this picture?

We have been working on decorating our dining area.  I still struggle with what we have picked out, but it will have to do for now.  It just seems a little busy for me as I kind of liked our walls semi-bare.  Ok...my husband is right...we needed some color...the tans and browns were just not colorful enough.  We are trying to pull out some burgundy from our living room pillows to add a little more pizazz to the space.  So, what is your opinion on the following picture.  Apparently my husband got the inspiration to do a little decorating at some point last night.  Not thinking things look right??

hmmm???  Thinking it doesn't go this time.....

Fall Leaf Craft!

So my motivation is getting kind of low right now to be creative and make messes with the kids.  Just trying to keep the house clean in case we leave at any moment, as I would hate to come home to a house with a new baby and then have to clean.  Anyways, before all of the leaves turn brown, crunchy, and ugly, we went out and picked out two leaves...yes only two...it was chilly outside and we still had our pajamas on...anyways...we had a discussion about the colors of the leaves and symmetry.  Katelyn also worked on tracing as she is still getting a hang of writing.  We then cut the leaf in half, glued in on a piece of construction paper and then the girls colored the other half.  I know....corny, but it makes for a nice decoration for our patio window...and it didn't make a huge mess!:)

October 31st...what we did!

We don't do the Halloween dress-up, trick-or-treating thing...so some of our friends rented out My Gym Children's Fitness center for the 2nd year in a row and we had a fun night for the kids.  Most of my pictures didn't turn out, as action shots are kind of hard and I have a lot of blurry pictures.  All three kids had a TON of fun!  Katelyn talked about it all the way home and Jocelyn was so worn out she fell asleep as soon as we left the parking lot.  Easton didn't know what to do with himself as he went from one activity station to the next. Here are a few pictures that actually turned out!  Thanks Cory & Erica E. for planning this and Kathy M. for facilitating the party!
