Colorado trip part 1

We took a well needed family vacation this year! Last year I was pregnant with Landon and we just didn't take a vacation. We were all super excited for this time away together!

We rented a house outside of Idaho Springs. It was on a 16 acre wooded lot with a creek running thru it and plenty of room for the kids to run...and no one else to bug us! It was so nice! The kids could just go and explore! The views were amazing!

Idaho Springs is only 45 minutes from Denver, but high enough to be cool during the summer months!

Idaho Springs

The town of Idaho Springs was really cute. Their downtown area was filled with quant little shops and some nice restaraunts.

We ate at Beau Joe's pizza joint. It came highly recommended by several friends...and I would go on to recommmend it to others.

We also enjoyed Starbucks one night--thanks to my Aunt Nan. :)

Kate said she feels like she is 13!

We also visited Georgetown one evening. That is another cute little town about 15 minutes from Idaho Springs. Unfortutunately the town shuts down early, so the only store that was open was a frozen yogurt shop. That was ok though...because of course the kids will always go for a fun treat!

More pics to come tomorrow!
