Colorado Springs: Focus on the Family and more!

Continuing on with our Colorado Springs vacation, our next stop was the Focus on the Family headquarters. I didn't know what to expect when we first arrived. The kids were very curious about what we were doing and quiet frankly I couldn't tell them. In the end they really enjoyed the visit. The first floor featured different areas with information about all of the ministries of Focus in the Family.

There was a fun 3 story cork screw slide that all three older kids could go on. Weston was too short, but he was ok with not being able to go.

The basement level featured many different interactive play stations.

Including a little kid slide, airplane, theatrical stage, fire station, and a kids recording studio. We could have spent hours there playing, however we visited at the end of our sightseeing day and we didn't have much time before closing.

There was also a large Christian bookstore. My parents bought Katelyn her very first Bible and carrying case for her birthday. She was pretty excited about that! No more borrowing mine!

My favorite area was the sweet shop! The kids all enjoyed a dish of ice cream and the adults tried out the malts. They also served up lunch type items if you are there during a meal time.

If you are visiting the Colorado Springs area, I would recommend stopping here...best of all it has FREE admission!
